Savage 99c Lyman #16 flip sight: I made a boo boo

To make a long story short, I'm working on someone elses gun and I broke the rear flip sight. I've deduced that it is Lyman 16. I can't figure out which one as I'm not sure how they measure the height so it could be a 16, 16b or a 16c. Can anyone help? I also need a Canadian source as well.

Yes. it can. I'm not exactly sure where Lyman is getting their numbers from.

Well I think I'm on the right track. Found this: ww.gunpartscorp.com/ad/154990.htm#142880B . In the description of the part, it says adjusts from .500 to .600. That is exactly the same as Lyman's #16C. Now I just have to get my paws on one.

Got of the phone with Lyman. To measure the sight, loosen the two screws and lower the notch to the bottom. Measure from the base of the notch to the bottom of the dovetail. In my case, that's .500". So, for a 99C, you need a #16C sight. Lyman confirmed that they will ship direct to Canada, but I ordered mine from Western Gun Parts. New sight is inbound!
