Hey folks,

Don't know too much about these. I guess the "F" stands for featherweight?

Supposed to be picking it up tomorrow as a belated birthday/wedding gift from a relative and he was told it's supposed to be a collector grade, rarer, blah blah blah of the savage 99's.

I'm thinking the guy who told him that is selling him a crock for sure.

It's a 99F in 308, with brass counter. older model with safety by trigger not up on tang. will post some pics when I had it. Guy was going to auction it for 2K or something rediculous. I highly doubt it's worth half of that from what I see on #######.

Any idea with no pictures?

Condition is everything and the 99s had to be watched for stocks cracking around the tang. What part of the country are you in? I'm decently knowledgeable on the old 99s and could give you a pretty close estimate. You can pm me if you wish.
