HI , I am looking at getting the Savage A22 PRO Varmint in 22lr. What are your likes or dislikes . How is the accuracy. Is it worth the extra money over the regular A22
 
Can't comment on that rifle in particular, I haven't shot any of the new Savage semis. I have found that with bolt guns, heavy barrels seem to settle better...and there is less gun movement with small gusts of wind. Both could maybe be overcome with better technique or a more high-tech rest, but for me...all my guns are heavy barrels unless there is a very good reason for it not to be. (ie, long carries)
 
:popCorn: Also trying to decide between the A22 pro varmint and the mark ll tr bolt. I'd normally go for the bolt but like the 25 round butler creek mags you can get with the A22 and it might be more fun to plink with. Not to mention I can get the semi for over $100 less than I can find the bolt. A buddy just got one of the A17s and is quite happy with it.
