I'm considering one of these but seeing a lot of bad reviews online. Have they fixed the issues or is it still a crap shoot?

There was an issue with the trigger going full auto, and the bolt short shucking. I haven't heard anything about the magazine.

I've never had any of those problems and I'm purposely not cleaning mine until it starts to jam. I'm over 500 rounds now and it's functioning fine. The 25 round Buttler Creek magazines are a work of art.

Bought an A22 WMR over a year ago. Numerous feeding, firing and poor trigger which was not corrected by Grech Outdoors. Savage replaced this rifle with another which had all the above problems plus auto fired. Savage returned the purchase price and Lakefield were excellent to deal with. Sad because I had great hopes for this new action.

I have put around 300+ rounds through my Savage A17 and I have had no issues, the rotary magazine I find is easy to load however putting it in the rifle is a bit tricky. you have to put it in just so although with practice I am doing it properly more and more.

I had a A17 but sold it. Was accurate but was a bit picky on ammo it would cycle . Worked flawless with Hornady 17 grains. Didn't find any problems with loading the mag but found it was much easier to load in the gun with it cocked open. The trgger however was not even close to as good as the accu-trigger. Seemed almost gritty to me.

I can't say I'm having issues with different rounds. I've tried most that I can buy at my local shop. As far as trigger goes I'm actually liking the trigger very much, perhaps it's a factory inconsistency as I've seen people have loads of issues with them.
