Hello
I was looking at getting one of these as I seen one for sale locally.
Few mags etc for $750

I’ve read they were a bit unreliable, is that true?
Can you add aftermarket chassis to these? I don’t see many options online.
I prefer pistol grip , collapsible stocks and enclosed forearm.

Thanks

My A17 is not very reliable but I like it anyway. The action is supposed to be lubed with MPRO7 synthetic grease but I can’t find any, I don’t think it’s made anymore so I’ve been trying various lubes. I bought another brand of synthetic grease that I’ll try next spring. Use CCI A17 ammo if you can find it. The rifle is accurate but the trigger only adjusts down to about 4 pounds. The 25 shot mags work better in my rifle if I load them with 15 shells.

I own all 3 A17 rifles. Very seldom do i have a jam or f2f in any of them. My wsm prefers (accuracy) 25gr bullets, my hmr will feed anything in any mag I've tried even the A22 magnum 25 round butler creeks mag work fine with 17 hmr in them. Trigger sure feels better after about 1000 rounds. The mach 2 is a fun reliable plinker also. Boyds pepper laminate stocks on the magnums and will eventually get one for HM2.
