Savage A22 Ammo

I usually like to stick to bulk types of .22LR ammo.
Any particular favourites to feed it or to avoid?

I have run federal bulk thru mine no problems except for 2 FTF but that was out at -10-also used the cci semi auto sub sonics with no problems

My A22 preferred higher grain (40), lower velocity loads, no hollow points.

Mines the opposite of above, much better results with high velocity hp compared to bulk 40gr lrn

CCI Blazer 38gr LRN or Federal AE22 38gr copper plated HP both run well in mine in terms of bulk packs.

CCI Mini-Mags if you want the best reliability.

Very few issues with the federal champion bulk box in 36 grain. Found CCI minimags to run with less issues too.

Mine eats CCI SV and Blazer without a single problem even in -10 degree temps

Federal CPHP 36g will earn me a FTF or a stovepipe every magazine or so.

Lubed, it doesn't seem to be a picky eater.

The only ammo I've come across that my A22 refuses to cycle is Federal BYOB - it's 36 grain hollow point. It will cycle any LRN ammo with near 100% reliability, even Remington Thunderbolt (which I think is the cheapest ammo you can buy). It will cycle most hollow points okay, but not not with 100% reliability, though my testing with HP's isn't as extensive as with LRN's.
