im very interested in purchasing the savage edge rifle as a varmit rifle, i noticed untlike most savages it does't have the accu-trigger. im wondering if you can purchase the accutrigger seperatly???
 
I'd skip the accutrigger if it didn't come with one from the factory, and look at any good quality aftermarket trigger like one from Sharp Shooter Supply. That's what I have on my pre-accutrigger Savage and it can be adjusted down to a couple of pounds, safe and crisp. Cost me less than $100 I believe.
 
Also, the Savage trigger (on my 111) was just a simple screw adjustment once it was out of the stock. The accutrigger just has a hole in the stock so you can access that screw easier. I reduced the trigger pull from 6lbs down to 3lbs.
 
I have read that the SSS trigger will not fit the Edge?
However if they seel enough, I am sure retro-fit triggers for the Edge will be forthcoming
