I'm interested in a Savage Weather Warrior in .250 Savage, but would prefer it to have a detachable mag. It looks like a simple matter of a new bottom plate and a magazine; is that correct? If so, I could get the rifle right away and do the conversion later if I want.
I do realise Savage will chamber a DM Weather Warrior in .250 but that might take a while to receive.
I also realise the Model 14 American Classic is available with DM in .250 but I think I want to try a stainless/synthetic rifle.
