Savage AccuStock

I have seen the Savage AccuStock bedding block close up but my question for you tech guys is it worth getting a aftermarket and replace the AccuStock? 10FCP stock

I'm ok with the beaver tail/front forestock but I don't like the rear of the stock, there is no palm swell. I do like a Bell & Carlson Metalist & the HS stocks and maybe the new Choate stock might also fit the bill. McMillan is out of my price range. I could recoup some cash from my new stock as it's 5 times better then a 2008 stock or older Savage stock. Are these other stocks I listed worth the change?

If the accustock fits you well, have it bedded properly and it will work as well as any other stock on the market.

the problem is the stock is an ok fit just the pistol grip has no palm swell which I like. So that is why I'm leaning towards another stock.

You don't NEED that palm swell. Its up to you how much its worth. Bedding is required for any precision rifle's stock, regardless if the stock has a bedding block.

Why not just make your own palm swell?

Wood, epoxy, bondo, paint - done and it will be a fit YOU want.
