I have a Model 93 with the Accutrigger and I think the spring (the one used for weight adjustment) is damaged. I'm pretty sure that the previous owner tried to turn it out further than it was intended to go. I have it set as light as I can get it, but it still feels like it is about 4 or 5 lbs, not the 2.5 that it is supposedly suppose to go to. The trigger still functions properly, I just want to get the pull lighter. Can I cut a coil or 2 off to compensate for this? I thought about replacing the spring, but I have read that savage does not sell parts for the trigger assembly and that you have to buy a entire new one.
