Savage action question.

WSM, RUM, SAUM, 12LRPV, Target, BA (at least the 338L). Off the top of my head the magnum actions could have been 11,16, 110, 111, 114 or 116 I don't think there was a distinction by model as to receiver diameter, more by caliber/cartridge.

Hmm. The barrels I have are large shank, with both 308 and 223 boltfaces required. Hard to sort these out. Damn. - dan

So both are likely from a "target" (likely TRF) or 12lrpv...are they very heavy 30 inch or varmint weight? Fluted? (cant remember if the 12 series ever came with the same weight as the target)

essentially all of the single shot target actions and WSM rifles are large shank, everything else is the small or standard shank, the single shot actions with the red accutrigger blade is what your after, Savage model 12 rifles chambered in 270 or 300 WSM
