I hope this is the right place to post this . I have a Savage 10t-sr from Cabelas in 308 and was wondering how to tell if its a short action or long.If you can help that would be awesome . Thanks.

Most likely a short action being 308 and a 10. 110, 112, 116 would be long actions.

This is a direct quote on the Cabela's web sit. Reading it I don't know if its a 10 or 110. I do know its called a 10t-sr.

To simplify:
- 2 digits (10, 11, 12, 14, 16) equals short action
- 3 digits (110, 111, 112, 114, 116) equals long action.

what is the distance between your action screws? 4.4 and 4.25 is a short action, over 5 inches is a long action, the actual measurement skips my mind right now

Yes, measure your action screws, 4.4 " and 4.27" are SA actions.
