savage Arms 10BAT-S/K bolt is really stiff

So I took this rifle out recently for it's first time and it was really nice to shoot and unbelievably accurate. My only issue is that the bolt is really tight and chambering a round just doesn't seem very smooth. I'm an AR/shotgun guy and precision rifle is a new hobby. Do I need to oil the crap out of this rifle? Does it need some breaking in time? Any info would be great
