Savage Arms A22 LR cheers or jeers

Well, that picture solves the earlier question about whether it's straight or delayed blowback. It clearly doesn't have the A17 (and presumably A22 Magnum) locking mechanism on the top surface of the bolt.

I came to the same conclusion after looking at the manual https://s3.amazonaws.com/savagefiles/manuals/manual_a22_22lr.pdf

I was considering it, but am now going to give it a pass.

Sucks to see they aren't made in CANADA. Y'all think Savage will eventually phase out production in Lakefield and focus on American made rimfires? At SHOT Show 2017, they said that their plan was to have both lines running simultaneously Mk and A/B Series. Doubt that will be a long term plan though.

I saw a youtube review of the B17 just now and noticed that it was still made in Lakefield and at a glance, so the B-series might just be the next evolution of the Mark II family
