I love 7.62x39 so when I decided to pick up a bolt action for some range fun and short range deer hunting I picked up a savage axis 2 scout. Testing it out tomorrow but I'm having some issues tracking down extra magazines. You can find the larger axis magazines everywhere but the 7.62x39 mag don't seem to exist online. Even called Ellwoodepps in ontario to see if they could order me one and was told by the guy on the phone "their are no 7.62x39 savage rifles " while I was sitting 10 feet from one.
1.Does anyone know where I can find some? Everywhere online have none. Savage website has them but they don't ship to Canada.
2. Will 7.62x39 fit in a .223 magazine? I believe they both have the little plug in the back of the magazine for shorter calibers but I don't have a .223 mag to try.
