Savage axis 2

Yeah I wasn't a big fan of the stock when I held the gun at cabelas. I found Boyd's makes a tactical sniper type stock (what use to be called the tacticool) but I was wondering if there were any other options. Something more along the lines of the MDT stock.

I'm not one to nay say somebodies ideas, but if your willing to drop the money for a stock system such as the MDT TAC, you might consider a higher end rifle. However if that is your true desire. I just ordered a savage axis package and plan on restocking it and upgrading the trigger. I know I could get a better rifle for the money but I'll be doing mine in stages and want a gun that I can easily replace if it becomes damaged while hunting. Also for the pure pleasure of "assembling" it myself.

Anywho, I think choate makes savage stocks too.

"tactical sniper"f:P:
Long time ago when I was a sniper in the military, "tactical" only applied to actions.
As in tactical deployment. Tactical thinking.
Never to an object or person.
But times are changing...

tac·ti·cal
ˈtaktikəl/
adjective: tactical
of, relating to, or constituting actions carefully planned to gain a specific military end.

Only option for the axis is boyds. You can make your own stock if you want.
Here is mine. *Might be for sale even shhhhh*

I dislike the axxis personally... although they shoot well and are cheap... on the bright side, i feel they fill a niche and allow people with limited finances to buy an accurate rifle out of the box and enjoy the sport (although the scope sucks...)..... if you are looking to sink money into this thing then get a ruger mk ii or an older rem 700.... then build from there.... jmop
