That depends on your shooting style. Keep it cool and it will last a few thousand rounds. sit down and empty mag after mag in rapid succession and it could be done in a few hundred rounds.

Mine has been hot enough you couldn't grab it for more then 2 seconds still shot good even when that hot. Don't let it get that warm often but it happens. I find I can put 10-15 rounds down the tube before it gets fairly warm. That said I have 3000 rounds or more down mine and still shoots .5" as long as I'm on my game. Ive cleaned it twice because I was bored didn't take more then 3-4 patches to clean either. There is zero copper in it as well.
I have heard of people putting 10,000+ rounds down the tube of a 223rem and still shooting great.
The barrel on an axis is no different then the barrel on a model 16 or any other model. They grab a barrel off the rack and screw it to a gun
