Savage Axis build

I have an axis chambered in 6.5 creed and another in 223.
I’ve been doing some research, and found it’s not the best platform to start off with but it’s what I have at the moment.
Looking for advice and knowledge on the right chassis to look at, I’ve only found the oryx chassis so far that fits the axis platform.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In the end it will still be an Axis.
My Axis 223 the only thing I will do to it is replace the barrel with a prefit barrel when it no longer shoots MOA or better.
I personally would not waste your money on a chassis just leave them as is and invest the money towards a custom action and start your build from that point

If you want to keep the Axis platform you can always consider ditching the current Axis and picking up an Axis II Precision with the MDT chassis. Several retailers have had them on sale recently.

If you improve the trigger (google, youtube do it yourself) and bed the barrel, you will find that it will shot not worse than a much more expensive platform.
