Savage axis safety

Hello all,

I am having a problem on my savage axis in regards to the safety not functioning properly. I have not removed the action yet to inspect but I didn't know if anyone had similar problems. I engage the safety but will still fire....but anyone to put down the axis it is one hell of a shooter!

Remove the action from the stock. There is a screw that goes up underneath the safety. My guess would be it needs adjusting. I believe the screw is part of the trigger group.
 
It will be fay obvious when you remove the stock. Here is the link to the Rifle Basix installation instructions. they will apply the same to the factory trigger as far as the safety is concerned.

Edit: I realized that the original trigger looks quite different, but you should still get the general idea.
