Just ordered a B22 fv sr from Bullseye in London . Have had great luck with my 3 other Savage rifles ,all are quite accurate .( bmag in 17 wsm , Axis in .243 and a tiny little rascal that I use to hunt grouse . Hoping the b22 will be a shooter as well. Will post a review once I receive it and shoot it a bit.

Cool rifle, congrats! I had the Mark II FV SR and I never got great accuracy results from it, but I always liked it nonetheless. I hear the new Savage rifles shoot very well, and the ergonomics seem to be way better as well. I'm well covered for rimfires...but have been missing 22WMR. I may give one of the new Savages a go, somewhere down the line.

I have the B22 FV. Great 22. A little nose heavy but easily rectified with some plummers putty. I encountered one interesting issue. Will no longer eject eley club. Was working just fine in the colder weather but not anymore. Thourally cleaned. Too bad as that was very accurate ammo in mine. No issues with cci whatsoever.

Been eyeing the B22 for a while now. Compared to the Mark II, the updated stock, 10 round rotary, and tang safety seems to be a HUGE improvement. I'm just wondering if the B22 would be a decent "Poor man's CZ455".

I picked up a B22 G (wood stock) a couple weeks ago and I'm a huge fan already. From the minimal shooting I did (Around 300 rounds) it seems very accurate, built incredibly solid, and has great ergonomics compared to some of the Mark 2 models. I hope to get it out this weekend to do some more shooting and test it for accuracy compared to a Mark 2.

Huge plus; I'm able to share mags with my A22, and the Butler Creek 25 round mag's in a bolt action are just way too much fun :)

Love my new B22 fv-sr. Took it out for the first time a few weeks ago. Racked up the gopher kill count.

The only issue I had was that I was told the Butler Creek 25 round A22 mag will work in my B22. It did not. Wouldn't chamber a single round. Has anyone else had this issue?

I like the new B22 rifles because the stocks are so much nicer than the MKII stocks but the new mags are really ####ty, I prefer the old mags.

I also had a problem with the BC 25 mags. Bought thru Cabelas, I was able to return the 1st one and purchased another to try. Same results with both..1st round loads fine..2nd round the lead nose has a huge score line from the bolt loading the 1st round resulting in fliers. Factory rotary works flawlessly. The great manager allowed me to take the 1st mag back to try to find out what was up with chambering cleanly. Appears to me that the cartridge is at too great an angle on the nose and/or too high in the magazine slot. Seeing as Bc and Savage are both owned by Vista..I would think that they might talk to each other regarding design and manufacture. The BC 25 for A22 and B22 looks great but something is off in one or both departments. I really hope a rep will see this and attempt to rectify the problem. And good luck trying to find a replacement factory magazine. Cabelas doesn't carry them and are hard to find in Canada. I called Savage (Canada) direct and spoke with someone in sales regarding supply of spare mags..he is sending me one free of charge! Thank You Savage Arms!! I also found some at Wolverine Supplies. Thank You Evan!!

Have you tried different types of ammo? The Butler creek 25 rounders didn't work very well in my B22 with Winchester white box. They work without flaw with Federal Champion, CCI, and even Remington Golden Bullet.

Got a B22 FVSR, love it so far. Plus it's made in Canada. Yes, the stock is a huge upgrade! As for the magazine, I prefer the new rotatory to the old single stack. Flush bottom as well as more reliable. Not as good as the 10/22 magazine, but after loading 200-300 rounds the muscle memory kicks in and loading it is an non-issue for me now.

Thanks for the info john q

Actually I haven't tried different ammo yet and i was using Win white box. Will do that when i get home. Thanks for the tip. Should have known that

Anyone know who has them in stock? Cabela’s has the regular B22 with scope for 350 right now but I’m unable to find any fvsr models

I got mine from theammosource.com. But it looks like they're out of stock as well, could perhaps sign up for their "back in stock" notification?
