savage barrel question

I was wondering. I have a savage 111gcns in 300 win mag. If I were to buy a 458 barrel for it or some other larger calibre instead of a whole new rifle. What else would be needed parts wise? like new magazine? boltface? is so where would you get parts for these. I would really like to get some different calibre barrels for my savage and stevens (in 22-250 and would like to get another short action calibre for this gun as well) just to give me more options calibre wise. Thanks for your input.

to turn it into a 458 or something similar on a belted mag. case all you need is the barrel, mysticplayer sells prefit savage barrels, you can also buy different bolt faces too.

if your rifle is registered, it means a reregistration, you may want to think about it

Sorry, i was just retyping what has been said on the board before. I looked at my registrations, and they do not have the caliber on there, so it should be straight forward. i asked the same question last week.

The .458 Win Mag mag box is different, call SharpShooterSupply for a new one.
