.22Mag

I held one of these at WSS yesterday. It fit nice, but how do these shoot? My dad has a Marlin target rifle which shoots pretty damn good at 150yds for a 22LR.

The salesman said it would shoot good groups out to 150. Ink it should be fairly decent out t 200yds.

What is your experience? How accurate out of the box? Can I find a better price for this gun brand new?

Can't say that I've taken mine to the range, other than for an initial sighting in...cause I'm too busy shooting gophers with it at 200-even 300 yards! Shoots awesome, very accurate! (have to watch bullet impact on a 300 yd gopher, to see how high to compensate) but at 100-150, hold dead on. The only problem is the mags aren't big enough, I have to stop and reload too often, and the gophers run around and laugh at me when I'm not shooting at them!:sniper:

(sorry, just realized you were talking .22mag, mines a .17mag)

no worries. Info on the 17 is good too. How much does the wind push it around out far?

200+yds with a decent crossbreeze. I have shot my .22-250 that range, just for comparison sakes.

took it out today again, and the wind was pretty strong. At 100+ yds the wind pushed the bullets around pretty good, had to compensate a lot to smack the gophers.
