So as the title asks, are the BVSS and the BTVS the same action and barrel. I’ve owned the BTVS and found it to be unbelievably accurate. I could shoot push pins off of the top of the target board at 100m and hit hanging golf balls at 200m with little effort, but found the thumb hole to be a bit of an issue for my dodgy wrist and sold it because it got to be a pain to shoot literally.
Now I’m looking to get another .17HMR and want to get a savage because I had so much luck with the first one and have no probs with a classic carlo stock, so if they are the same set up I would bet they will have the same accuracy potential.

Any ideas? I love the HMR for its accuracy and it’s almost cheaper than shooting my .223 LOL.

I also have the same set up in .22lr that I’m putting into a BOYDS rimfire target when It gets here this week (fingers crossed) and it shoots as good as the higher end riffles in my Silhouette club with Fiocchi
ill post picks once I finish bedding it and mounting the scope.

They are exactly the same barreled action in different stocks... the "T" designation indicates that it has a "Thumbhole" stock... the "V" designation indicates that it has a heavy "Varmint" barrel... the "S" or "SS" designation indicates that the metal and action are "Stainless steel.
