Savage/CIL/Anschutz crossovers

I believe the 190 is somewhat similar to the 1403 and 1903. It has a 64 action.

You are correct. The CIL/Anschutz 190 was a lighter barrelled version of the Savage/Anschutz Match 64 for use in Canadian "Sporting Rifle" competition. Initially the Anschutz 1403 was the rest of the world rifle similar to these two, but I am not certain what its barrel weight was.

I think that the 1403 was available with either two different barrel weights or perhaps one was a "junior" rifle with shorter stock, lighter weight etc etc

It seems that eventually Canada and the USA got the same model numbers as the rest of the world, i.e. the 1403.

The CIL 171 was not an "Annie". I've got one in my vault that's roll-stamped CBC-Brazil. This one's a re-work of the old Remington 511. Remington actually marketed it very briefly as their 525. They were also known as the mag-tech 1-22- a K-mart special, IIRC.

I have a CIL 171 that is made by Anschutz ( marked on receiver ) as well as marked made in West Germany. Just to add to the confusion.
