Savage Edge

[Legs in the Air]

I'm seriously considering the Savage Edge in either .243 or 25-06 for multi purpose. I currently use a 30-06 for whitetails but been seeing more coyotes than deer and would take a coyote when deer hunting without being worried about fur damage. Either of these calibers would fill in the gap I have between 22-250 (winter calling rifle) and 30-06. Any comments on which of these two calibers I should get? I don't handload, is there decent 25-06 factory ammo for my purposes?

hey, my 2cents,
wouldnt the 06 with a hard bullet for deer act like a fmj an pin hole the coyote?
243 will blow a hole in em an same goes with the 2506..

stick the 30 up em!

No help with the cartridge choice, but I have an edge in .223 that shoots quite well. stock is flimsy and the gun is only 6.5 lbs with a scope. But no complaints apart from that.
