Have just started load development using 155 grain Scenars and Varget. Looking for 800-1000 yard load. I have tried 46.0 grains 10thou into the barrel with 1 MOA over two 10 round groups. Chronied at 2925 fps........Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated............

46 gr of Varget with 155's. Ask any target rifle shooter at Mons and 8 out of 10 will tell you that's the load to use. Have you played with the seating deepths? .010" into the lands could cause problems if there is a cease fire and you have one up the pipe. Trust me, been there done that. The bullet stays in the barrel, the case extracts and the powder goes into the action. This is followed by some swearing and mumbling as you retire from the line to find a cleaning rod and something to blow the powder out of the action.

Nothing wrong with the basic recipe you describe. Cases, primers, neck tension and chamber profile will change the formula as you get closer to your preferred load.

Any good shooting coach will now tell you to quit worrying about the numbers, and go shoot more bullseyes! There is no substitute for trigger time.
