Does Savage make the stock on the 11/111 Lady Hunter or do they have it supplied by someone like Boyd's? My wife has a Savage 11, but the lady hunter stock fits her better. Thought maybe I could replace the stock rather than a whole new rifle....

that lady stock is a lot more than just a youth stock marketed to women, everything about it is catered to a woman's build, have known a few ladies who all love it....I believe savage would sell you a lady stock, but likely charge an arm and a leg...they quoted me $440 for their accu stock...

I know you said didn't want to get a new rifle, but have seen the weatherby Camilla in Canada now...I'd consider the vanguard to be a better rifle than the savage 11, the wood they use is certainly nicer for the lady stocks

Local WSS has the lady hunter on for 25% off, appear to have .243 only. Suggested it to the wife. If the stock actually fits as claimed it'd ha a nice rifle/stock combo.

I'd be tempted to check with savage, they might sell for decent price. Never know.

Savage does use Boyd's stock (for sure) on some of their rimfires - it's (kinda) encoded right into the model.

eg. 93 BRJ (Boyd's Royal Jakarta) or Mark II BSEV (Boyd's Evolution) etc.

You could always fire off an email to Boyd's and ask if they make the Lady stock - haven't seen it listed on their website but maybe something they could do for you (??).

As noted above, if that's not an option you should really look at the Camilla from Weatherby. Runs about the same bucks as a new Model 11 Lady (which our main Savage supplier doesn't even list anymore due to lack of demand) but the Wby is a way nicer gun (visually). We have a couple in stock (243 and 6.5 Creed), really sweet rifles with out of the box sub-moa guarantee.
