I was looking at a savage long range hunter in 6.5x284 today. does anyone have one in a 6.5x284? and what do you think of it? I thought the stock was ugly of course, but it was built on a long action. could be nice for seating a 140 grain vld out nice an long.

If the accustock on it is anything like the one on my FCP-K...yeah it's on the ugly side (as are most synthetics). Does it's job though, and the buttpad is uber-nice. There will be lots of seam lines and flashing on the stock too. I sanded mine and gave it a coat of Krylon.
