i own 2 of these.one in 22 hornet one in 17 hornet. the 17 is way more accurate

I've seen/sold a number, definitely felt on the cheaper side. Early models had nasty extraction issues. Personally not a fan, though they do tend to shoot fairly well.

My vote for a bolt action repeater in the Hornet would be a CZ 527 or an earlier Brno- not as cheap, but damn they are nice.

Save your money and buy something much better. Back in the day, Savage built rifles with pride. I don't even think "junk" is an accurate description of this thing. You are much better served with a nice used rifle if funds are tight. Sorry to sound so negative, but I would hate to think anybody is steered into thowing away money.

I have one in 223. Only paid $350 for it. Love it. Very accurate. Would much rather have it than an Axis. Not sure why the price is so low on them. Unless I got a magical one.
