I was wondering how many of these rifles there are around? They don't seem to be all that common in .22 calibre. Perhaps I just don't know where to look. If anyone has information about where I could find one of these and/or what price I should expect to pay for one, I'd love to hear from you. ck

Epps shows a new .22 Mako SS on their website.
Comes with a hard case.

Savage makes a nice .22, Made in Canada too.

Thanks for the heads up on the one at Epps. I may have to look into it if I can't find one used for a little cheaper. As was mentioned, $500 is a bit more than I want to spend on one. I saw the .17 that is in the EE, and the price on it isn't bad since it has the scope and rings and an extra mag. I like it, but I need it in .22. Seems the only ones I've been able to source so far are all in the U.S., and they are usually around $300.

Frontier also has one in SS listed. Thats where I got mine and they are excellent to deal with. I got the blued version. I would also say if you can to get your hands on one in person before you buy as the comb on the back of the rifle is very high and some don't like the way their head sits. I got a bigger scope with high rings to semi correct this. Great gun though and for me very comfortable.

Have you shouldered one of these rifles yet? I had bought one on line and thought they were a cool looking gun. I tried several different rings and scope heights and I just could not find anything that would comfortably let me shoot this rifle. Went to the P&D used rack after less than 100 shots. FS

I second that!

Tried one out at the local shop, and I like the Mark II TR much better!

I have tried one out in .17 HMR and found it to be quite comfortable. very accurate. I love the look of the stocks. I was just looking for one in a .22 calibre because that would be a heck of a lot cheaper to shoot than the .17 HMR.
