Hey you Nutz!!!

Anyone know where to find a aftermarket bottom metal for a wood stock Savage mark 2 in Canada?
I know DIP makes them but they don't ship to Canada.

I could easily make one but I would still need the longer action screws.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, google is not helping at all... its only finding me what I need on Yankee sites.

Also interested in this. I'm going to get a Boyds stock and they also sell the bottom metal but not as thick as the DIP.

Turns out I already have the long action screws, so I made my own bottom metal, not as perfectly made as the DIP but fits like a glove.
Kinney's shooting supplies in the US ships the DIP bottom metal to Canada, costs about $50 CAD with shipping.

Here is the one I made

I had the longer screws on there from the factory, maybe the BRJ model comes with longer screws.
I have approx 1/4 inch of threads engaging, I think that should be enough.
I made mine out of 1/8 inch black steel and then just spray painted it. The DIP one is also 1/8. I didn't inlet the stock so the new bottom metal sticks out a few thousandths, doesn't look too bad tho, I'll post a pic.
