The picture of this gun on the savage website shows that the stock is grey.

The gun is listed as "Stock: Black" in the Savage Specs.

I have seen pictures of this gun with a black stock in other places online.

Can anybody confirm that the Savage Mark II FV stock is black and not grey before I order it?

Thanks!

This is a little off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread so soon...

Are there any rim fire rifles that allow for barrel changes? What I am trying to do is have 1 gun that can shoot .22lr and .22mag without dropping a near grand for the sako quad.

Anyone know

597 receiver will accept all WMR entrails aparently. You'll still need 22WMR trigger group, mag, bolt and barrel - better off having 2 rifles

Anyone know a dealer who has these in stock? I ordered mine 2 month ago from Baron Sail, still not arrived yet. Starting to lose patience...

My Savage mkII Fv is black as well and shoots as good as my friends CZ does for 1/2 the money but put a half decent scope on it don't cheap out there spend atr least $130 for say a Bushnell trophy 3x9x40.......

It should look something like this when you get it. Make sure it has the ACCU-TRIGGER when you order.

I bought the scope seperate. It was purchased through WSS mailorder. In about a month it was at my place. At the time cabelas was sold out, they didnt have any bushnell 3-9 rimfire scopes either. bass pro was sold out too.

My uncle bought the same one without the heavy barrel. It had open sights. It shoots pretty good too.

I will post pics of groups next time I get out to the range. I really like this 22, it has claimed a few gophers outwards of 80yards in the short time i have owned it. R:d:
