If I'm not mistaken Cabella's only carries the "TR". The "TRR" is a different version that Savage claims will not be available in Canada this year.

I got to see one of the TRs today and I actually think I prefer its functionality over the looks of the TRR. Basically weight over tacticoolness.

The only difference between the two is the fancy? rail on the trr. Personnally I don't see a need for the rail.

I was trying to figure out just how many rails you need on a bolt action rimfire. Seems to me that all they accomplish is making it uncomfortable to hold the forearm. But maybe that's just me.

The only thing I've heard that makes sense about the extra rails is people who think it would be perfect to night hunt where you are allowed to for coons and the like. They think it is nice cause they could put some optics on, a flash light, and a laser. The TR on the other hand looks sweet and I really want one.
