I ve had this gun for a while and I know they arnt all great shooters so I want to ask for some suggestions. So far trigger has been done and front bedding screw backed off. With lapua master l and sk rifle match ammo I can get some .3 , 5 shot groups @50 yrds but more often .5 and larger are the norm . I know some of these guns will one hole @50 but mine has yet to impress me ! what else can I do or should I not expect more? thanks for any input . I guess Im looking for gun mod suggestions not weighing my ammo hints . thanks again

Have you tried different ammo? My son has the saem gun and it was real picky about what it shot. It actually liked the cheaper Eley stuff over the more expensive. Just because its top grade ammo doesnt mean your gun is going to like it.

Watched a friend shooting his ne Savage like yours last fall he was shooting at 100 yards
I took a break and looked through spoting scope at his targets with his new gun. was shooting 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 ' he was some what pleased. I had some eley 10x and gave him a hand full and told him to fire five or six and then try a group. 5 shots under a 1" at 100 he was very pleased

The above post is exactly what I was talking about. His firends gun liked the 10X Eley and I believe the stuff my sons gun like was the Biatholon. Play around with ammo it makes a huge difference.
