I have read a number of articles claiming great accuracy for the Savage Mark II BV. How does it comapre with the CZ, Bruno, Zastave, Anschutz, etc? Ha anyone done any ammo testing?

IMO the MarkII BV is a great gun. the newer model has accutrigger shoot very nice. It is no Brno, Anschutz or CZ but also depends on the shooter. Some cheaper Anschutz model don't even shoot better than the Mark II. But Mark II is also cheaper.

I don't have much to compare it with but I like the accuracy see it for yourself

that is 100m, shooting off sandbags. Target was a little staple and corner of the target paper. You cannot see them as they have been jammed into the cardboard from direct hits.

If you want a very affordable, very accurate rifle...and don't mind not having the best fit and finish...get the Savage.

If you want an medium priced, accurate rifle with really nice wood, and great fit and finish, get a CZ.

If you want an expensive, very accurate, well put together rifle with a long pedigree...that may or may nor be more accurate than the cheaper Savage...get an Anschutz.

I haven't done a complete ammo testing but so far Federal gold medal followed by Lapua super club and then CCI standard velocity, they are all close together and placing one ahead of another is arguable.
