Hello all: Just wanted to drop a note in regards to this wonderfull little bolt gun with the accu-trigger. I wanted to purchase a .22 that would basically ride along with me on the quad. It didn't have to be fancy, nor did I want to pay a small ramson for an all round .22 that was going to get it's more than fair share of abuse. I decided on a Savage since I already own several of their rifles with the accu-trigger. $240.00 out the door for a brand new gun, and boy does it shoot! With the aid of the accu-trigger, the accuracy of this rifle can hold it's own with best, including rifles that cost triple the price of this rifle. After using it this fall to "pop off" grouse and rabbits during my moose and deer hunts it has acquired more than enough scratches and dings. This rifle has served me extremely well in all the tasks I expected it to do, including winning a few bets at our local club's .22 rilfe shoots. I highly recommend this rifle to new and experienced shooters alike.

Health and happiness to all!

I have one too, and I'm very pleased with it also. I don't know if it's one of the most accurate rifles made, probably not...but my experience so far has been that shooting is still about the shooter, and not necesarily the equiptment. Lots of people show up at the range with wonderful expensive toys...and can't shoot to save their lives. :) But at least they are out there enjoying the sport...and yes, I'm a little envious of their toys. :)

Savage

I have a Sav mark II LV, its a great shooting 22 and I'd put mine up against any CZ any time, including my own. Mine with the heavy barrel and a trigger job is a very accurate rifle for a lot less money than a CZ or a Ruger 77. FS
