I have a Savage MK11 bolt action rifle in .22 long rifle calibre. I am finding a lot of wear/mushrooming on the bottom surface of the bolt where the sear engages it. This wear is showing after only a few hundred rounds fired. I am concerned that this is going to continue until failure. I have cleaned off the mushrooming and polished the bolt/sear engagement area but it doesn't take a lot of shooting before the mushrooming starts again. I have tried several different lubricants but problem still reappears after 50 or so rounds. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.
