After overhearing a conversation between some guys I was shooting with, I figured it was time to join the cool kids and put a big old knob on my Savage mk2.

I see you have got knurling figured out better than I did. If I had spent the amount of time reading up on it BEFORE I started working on it, mine would look better too. Great thing is I have a lathe and large amounts of steel stock.

Knurling is simple on the face of it but tricky stuff I discovered, one of those things that can be very frustrating. Aluminum is easy compared to steel as well. Actually, I thought it didn't come out that great, a learning experience.
