I have a savage mkII fv sr.

Equipped with Redfeild revenge scope. Had the scope in low rings on the first range trip, grouped awesome but shot about 10 in low at 50m when scooe was topped out.

Put the scope in a burris perp mount I had from another rifle. The scope is sitting quite high on the rifle with the the perp mount.

Shot it when the scope in the perp today, grouped great but shot 3 in low at 50m with scope topped out.

What is going on with this scope, rifle, rail combo?

Any ideas?

Ya sounds like one ring is slightly shorter, swap the rings front to back or try a different set of rings all together. I would doubt that the rail is sloped

had a similar problem with my mark 2 with one of my scopes, made up a few shims from old "beverage containers"

changed that scope out recently and the new one is fine.

I do remember when i was getting mounts for mine that what the weaver site listed and what people on forums said was 2 different mounts, can't remember off the top of my head which ones i got though, so i'm not much help there.

good news is with some sheers and a used can of your favorite hoppy goodness you can fix this right quick.
