I just wanted to kick off this thread. I bought a Savage MKII BV .22lr with a 3x9x40 (I think) Tasco scope. The only thing I've done to it since receiving it was put a bipod on. I'm very happy with it and am working on getting myself more accurate with it at 100 yards. Here's the photo:

TRR-SR with Millett TRS scope. Got a few things on order for it: Vanguard Pro 1 bi-pod, Accushot Monopod, Millett low rings (its got medium ones on it now). Going to take the shroud off and replace with either the thread protector or a ported compensator. Maybe some Arma-coat paint too. Will post pics when its all done, here is where its at now:

what are the specs on your optics? I always thought it was a bit silly to put on glass that's 2-3x the value of your rifle. After using my 3x9... I want more, haha

It's a Millet I got from Lebaron's in Ottawa. I think it was around $350, but I have their 10% club card, so got it for a bit less. The low rings I ordered off Amazon for $33.

As for putting things on a rifle that are of a disproportionate value...you should see what some folks do to their 10/22 :)

I'll play....
TRR-SR with a Millett TRS-1 on Millett LOW rings and a completely cosmetic paintball muzzle brake

Edit: just noticed the dots on the barrel, it's gun oil, not pecker tracks......

I put a bipod on it and had moderate results at the range. Just gave it a good cleaning tonight and will try again tomorrow.

I was looking at the Millett 6-25X56mm LRS-1 Long Range Tactical Riflescope. Damn... Right now my range doesn't have anything past 100 yards but I'd sure like to grab that scope and try my luck at 200 or 300 yards :)

How do you guys like the Millett TRS?

I think it's great for 100m shooting, nice and clear, mind you I have never owned a Leupold, or Mueller, or Nightforce, although I think that would be a "relationship ending" purchase, I have debated selling one of my TRS-1's to put it towards an LRS-1 for the same reason, seeing out to 200-300m, the 140 MOA adjustment range is attractive too

I like the bipod and I put my free hand under the stock. Wobble factor is very low.

What ammo are you using?

Here is mine, although I wish I had the heavy barrel. I have been thinking of picking up another with the heavy barrel or selling my Model 11 to buy one, but I really doubt I will get any more accuracy out of the MKii as it is already a great and accurate rifle.

Here's mine. Its a MK1 FVT. Made a solid piece of aluminum bottom metal for it as it sits in a MK2 stock. The stock itself its the prettiest I have ever seen. I've not seen one as dark as this with as rich of color! It's not anywhere close to the Nut Meg ones. The pictures really don't do it justice. I've got to invest in good glass. And possible pillar and glass bed.

I don't own this one anymore, but it was awesome! Anudder, project from the mikeystew custom shop lol,

Was a real good shooter too. This was 50 rounds for fun at 50m

here are my 2 Mark 2's (the 17hmr is actually a stevens 310, but it seems the same to me, minus the accutrigger)

just got this Stevens 17hmr on Saturday morning, my brother gave it to me, has a tasco 3-9x32 rimfire scope on it, sling and a green paintjob, probably just going to leave this thing alone, shoots well enough as is.

I bought this Mark 2 new about a year and a half ago, just the basic model that I've decided to "tacticool", tac pro DIY kydex cheek riser (must have for the factory stock IMO), eBay Harris type bipod, eBay 30mm scope rings, leupold mark 4 3.5-10x40mm scope (deal extreme knock off)
