Savage MkII vs. Marlin 9xx

I really like the looks of the Marlin with the Carbon Fibre stock, but there's almost nothing on here about them. lots of threads on the Savage Mark II or the Ruger 10/22 and the Remington 597...but nothing about the Marlin's.

how good do they shoot? are they worth the money? I want a bolt and something I can use in the field easily, so nothing bull barrel.

really? nobody here has any experience with the Marlin 915? 925? or 980?

I don't think there is a clear cut advantage over either manufacturer's rimfires. Buy whatever you like. Though the savages seem to be popular.

just bought a marlin model 60. Shot a 92 1x at 30 yards out of the box with open sights. Ithink with a scope it is gonna be a far better shooter than the 10-22 all weather I ;have

It is a stainless wood model they were all out of the stainless laminate.

I have a 925, its awesome for the money.. Squirrels have been hating it for generations!

I've got the mark II, and its deadly. Shoots 5 shot groups with blazers, all holes touching at 50 yards.

I have a savage mark 2 g and love it shoot about once a week good for the money and accurate my preferred ammo is the blazers
