So what can you tell me about those rifles?
Good
Bad
Ugly….
I never been a fan of savage bolt action rifles because the one we see the most like the axis in a cheap plastic stock so t do anything for me. But that mod 14 American classic I could live with!

I have a model 14 in 250 Savage, sweet rifle, shoots great . Put a Leupold 6x on it with dual dovetail mounts . To me, looks like what a rifle should be.

Savage American Classic rifles are absolutely gorgeous firearms…:)

Very nice walnut stocks, usually with a dark colored (rose-wood?), fore-piece cap, pistol grip cap, and a Monte-Carlo Cheek-piece on the butt stock. The bluing is usually a high gloss black, and a removable magazine or floor plate.

I’ve handled a few centerfire models, I was impressed. I would like to find a Savage Classic in a 22 magnum rimfire model. I missed one a few years ago by being cheap…..:)

I guess I learned the hard way…:(

You won’t be disappointed…:)

They are old school Savage gorgeous. Find pics of 1950’s and ‘60’s PE grade rifles to see what Savage used to be capable of. I like that Savage management are open to making a few beautiful traditional rifles. We can only hope they have more plans.

My buddy has owned three. He loves them. He's probably owned at least 40 hunting rifles and says that they're fairly good quality. Excellent accuracy.
