savage mod. 64 charging Handle

The only "aftermarket" one I have seen was made by (or, for) a Fellow CGN'er...I think it's in the Cooey Makeover thread...
I'm not aware of any real aftermarket bits n' pieces for 64's...

No extended handles but a good lathe operator could soon make one. If you can, make a few....I am sure there would be a few 64 owners looking for such a beast.
I'm actually thinking I might try...
I just turned a "fine" piece using a drill as a lathe (don't think the drill will last forever doing it) and, a nail for stock... I have dollar store micrometer but, still got got the piece within close enough tolerances to work. Took about 45 minutes...
I'm no smith (or machinist) but, the charging handle should be "do-able". I'm also lousy at aesthetics...no fancy knurling but, if it's a function over form thing, I think any DIY'er could tackle it.
Much better on a real-lathe with "real" machinists but, maybe a touch pricey.
