Hello All:
I have a Savage Model 10 series rifle with a bull barrel that I'd like to build (or have built)into a long range hunting rifle. I'm trying to research as much as possible to decide what to do, and Google is my friend but how's this:
Can you swap out the bull barrel with a standard barrel on the Savage, and if so what does that do to stock selection? The stocks I've been researching seem to follow the bull barrel configuration for this rifle...so if I change the bull barrel to a standard custom barrel which stock configuration would I look into?
I'd be doing this for weight reduction solely.
Any help?
