apparently this rifle is showing up as new on savage's website. accustock and accutrigger with a heavy 24inch 308 1:10 twist threaded barrel. comes with a pic 20 moa rail and its mag fed ( supposedly takes ai mags).

was thinking this would be a good beginner f class rifle on a budget ( 750$ US)

They had discontinued this rifle for a time, glad to see it is back! Definitely on the want list as a good entry level precision rifle.

Any dealers getting this beauty in stock anytime soon?

I have 1 of these waiting for me when I get out of camp. I fondled one at grouse river and was instantly convinced I wanted one. My hookup at can tire ordered me one for a great price. Right hand model fyi

When I looked these up I saw they were discontinued. When I asked my guy to check stock he said they had plenty. Not sure who the supplier is but if you want this model it's probably worth acting quickly.

look up savage shooters forum. The one pictured above is the old fcp-sr the discontinued version that uses accurate mags. The new version just has the same letter designation because it has same feature set: synthetic stock detachable mag, law enforcement line up, and threaded barrel I thought the same thing as you until I looked at it a little closer. To be honest whatever price them in at, they're going to be awesome rifles.

cool! and they come in left hand! :dancingbanana:

i hope these new ones take AI mags as well. i would like more mag manufac. options instead of just savage only mags.
