Savage Model 11 223 twist rate?

I know the brass brush trick but I have not had consistent luck.

Does anyone know if there is a chart that actually shows what twist rate the model 11 would be? I know savage has used every twist rate from 1 in 7in to 1 in 14in.

If it's a relatively late production then it's probably a 1:9. 99% probability. Savage used 1:9 for all the Model 10/11 etc rifles since 1995. Only certain target and varmint rifles ever got a 1:7 twist.

I have a model 11 223 pre accutrigger not sure the year of production, it's 1 in 9 rate of twist.

This one has an Accutrigger, so 1 in 9in then, perfect.

I am trying to figure out a bullet for it. I have a ton of FMJ ammo I loaded up for it back when it was my brothers gun, but if I want to use it for coyotes obviously I want a soft point bullet.

So 60gr will be no problem, but it looks like I should be able to run up to 70gr just fine.

I have some 50gr Barnes Varmint Grenades but I think I better trade them if I want to get into anything other than groundhogs.
