Hello all.
My Savage model 116 Stainless 30.06 has a plastic stock that I find has way too much "flex". In fact, with minimal effort, I can make the forestock touch either side of the barrel, enough to affect accuracy. Plus, it's just plain ugly.
Anyone know where to get a nice walnut traditional style stock for it? I know of Boyd's gun stocks already and I have one of their stocks for my 10/22. But I don't want something flashy, I'm really looking for something classic.
Also, I note that boyds gun stocks has both a walnut model (114.00) and a laminate (92.00) does anyone have one of their walnut stocks? How is the quality of the wood?
Thanks
