Hi guys, looking for someone who has a Savage Model 12 LRPV chambered in 6mm Norma with the 1 in 12 twist that can give me some starting points for a load.

I'm open to just about any bullet weight/brand, but would really like to use H4895 powder as I already have it on hand for other calibers.

I will be using Lapua brass.

Looking to shoot at 100 to 300 meters.

Thanks in advance!

30 grains of N135, 80 grain Berger bullet, federal 205 primer, start with a 10 thou jump and work into a 20 thou jamb until the groups turn into ragged holes

I shoot 66gr Barts flatbase over Varget in my 13.5t 6br. Mine is a Norma chamber and it has .100 freebore (as yours should be). This pretty much rules out all the boat tail bullets in the 66-68gr range. I’ve found the Berger column BR is almost as accurate as the Barts, your rifle might like different stuff of course.
