Looking for anyone that has shot one. I am considering buying said rifle in .223 for coyotes and target ( for fun) out to 500 yds. The walking varminter looks interesting but has a shorter barrel. I know I'm stretching the range for yotes but will be shooting heavier bullets. Mostly I'm interested in potential accuracy, I enjoy a good shooting rig. Will this rifle in either model shoot sub .75 ? I hand load so that's not a problem. Thanks for reading and considering

I've shot one not in 223. It was 204 ruger I believe. Took 3 shots and 2 were touching. Very nice little gun. Very light I needed a rest to stablize it. I think they're very accurate and I really liked the one I shot. I don't own it tho but I'm deffinitely going to pick one up in 204. I can't see how the 223 would be different

Regardless of how they shoot, you should be aware that they are not the same modular 110 action that many other savage rifles are built on. Therefore you cannot swap out/build as easily as you can those with a 110 base. And what applys to the 110 based savages does not necessarily apply to the model 25s.

You likely know all this but perhaps not everyone reading the thread will be aware that they are different.

not sure about the 223 but watched a guy shooting his modle 25 in 204.a 5 shot group at 100 yards 4 completely covered with a dime and all 5 completely covered with a penny
