Try Western Gun Parts out of Edmonton, they might have one. Gunshows are always a good place to look as well.
Hi. Geez! Nice rifle. .30-30 bolt actions are astoundingly accurate. Far moreso than any lever action. Savage 340's are right up there for accuracy too. Been kicking myself for about 30 years for not buying the one I saw in a Sears Warehouse store, long ago.
Gunparts, Stateside, wants $31.80US for a 3 round Model 340C mag. Shouldn't be any fuss ordering it and getting it across the border. $25US export fee though. Makes a mag kind of pricey.
Try Epp's. They tend to have stuff nobody else does.
Don't know how old this is, but they're listing one at $60Cdn.(about the same price as the Gunparts mag, but no border) E-mail 'em. info@gobles.ca

They ARE nice and extremely accurate. I don't know the difference between the models but if you could get a manual for each you could probably check part numbers.

"...Would a mag for a model 340c work with a model 340..." Yep. Same rifle. A mag for a Stevens Model 325 and Springfield(nothing to do with the M1A guys or the U.S. Armory) Model 840 will fit too. Savage made 'em all.
Model suffixes are usually about the finish, minor internal changes and sometimes the calibre. There's pretty good and reliable info about 340's here. Wisner's is a big U.S. retailer. They list mags too, but I don't think they ship to Canada.
